REGLEMENT

jugeCompetition rules - Boulder Contest.

The TAB competitions take place in the form of a contest of 30 blocks (the block quota can vary according to the categories). The rules are the FFME rules in force for this type of competition. By registering for one of the competitions, you accept the FFME rules. Visit the FFME website here: https://www.ffme.fr/escalade/competition/textes-et-reglements-competitions-escalade/

Some explanations on how a contest works :

  1. The objective of a contest is to allow each participant to climb freely for about 3 hours (depending on the competitions). No frustration, each climber can try the blocks as many times as he wants.
In a contest, everyone climbs at the same time
  2. Each participant has 31 boulders to perform between 5+ and 8a to perform (variable number depending on the categories) in a given time (between 3h and 3h30). There is no trial limit, participants can try the blocks as many times as they want. The attempts are not counted, only the successes count.
  3. Each completed block is worth 1000 points divided by the number of successes of the boulders
  4. The six best men and women qualify for the Saturday night finals for the U16 / U18  and senior categories, no finals for the other Micro TAB, veterans and senior leisure categories.
  5. In the event of a tie during the contest for categories that have no finals, the results are those of the contest, no final or block to decide between them.
  6. The U16 / U18 categories will have a final with 3 boulders, the senior category will have a final with 4 boulders.
