AILEFROIDE MEETING

A day of climbing on natural blocks in the extraordinary site of Ailefroide in the heart of the Ecrins massif.
Leisure time with the discovery of this site boulders in a spirit of relaxation and conviviality : climbers, equipped with a guidebook and a road book together discover this natural site.
You will find boulders of all levels in the heart of a preserved environment. A moment to share with family or friends.
This meeting is open to all. From initiation to confirmed climber you will find blocks at your level. You will be advised in the methods by local climbers !!!
Many prizes are to be won at the raffle (crash pads, ropes, scarpa slippers....).

You go climbing with BE, local climbers and the Tenaya team to share your passion and methods.
Infos
In 2025, we will climb in the Mushroom sector and/or Les Rush (the sector brushed in previous years). The initiation group will be supervised by a BE on the Mushroom sector and the experienced climbers will be advised by Tanguy Mérard. (No contest in 2025 following feedback from previous years))
Possibility for those who wish to form independent groups and go climb on other sectors.
Raising awareness of respect for the environment with GreenSpit :
- 4:30 p.m.: Catch cleaning workshop in the Surprise du Chef / Cahutes sectors with GreenSpit.
- All day: Cleanup-Day with the GreenSpit and Roc n'bolt associations. Waste collection, etc...

- Meeting 8.30 am in Ailechaude after the bridge on your right. Registrations are between 8.30 am and 9.30am, then depart together for the climbing spot.
- Thanks to come with your climbing equipment. You can rent a crash pad in Ailefroide if you want !!!
- You can try some Scarpa shoes in the limit of stock.
- Don't forget to bring a picnic.

For about twenty years, a small pebble lost in the Indian Ocean has been supporting, on an atypical basalt, a community of prolific and incredibly successful climbers (both in the natural environment and on international competition circuits).
We invite you to meet them on Reunion Island.
We will try to understand how they were able to transform what at first glance seems to be a handicap (heat, humidity, often grainless rock, island isolation) into a strength that today allows Reunion Island to be a true land of climbing.
A vertical journey to discover this exceptional island.
