Infos for categories 2026 :
Important Information for 2026
The recent changes to age categories have shifted everything by one year, which—to be honest—is not ideal for our organization !
We have decided to start the Microtab at the U13 category. The alternative option ( starting at U11 ) would have created logistical issues and safety concerns by accepting very young climbers (9 years old). This would have prevented us from setting appropriate routes and ensuring optimal climbing conditions for the U11s.
Note : U11 climbers can still participate in the "Contest d'initiation," which is designed as an initiation event rather than a formal competition.
Regarding the U20 category, please note that it has been removed and has no direct equivalent this year.
Scheduling & Waves
Because of these shifts, we have less visibility than usual regarding the number of participants per category for 2026 and so for the waves/groups.
-
Do not rely on last year’s schedule. There will likely be changes to the waves/groups.
-
We will try our best to maintain a similar structure (Microtab on Tuesday/Wednesday, Veterans on Wednesday evening, and Open Leisure/International on Thursday), but nothing is guaranteed yet.
-
Recommendation : Please stay available for all three days until the official wave schedule is published (which we will do as early as possible).
Registrations and Quotas
Another crucial point : due to wave reorganization and strict capacity quotas, your registration does not 100% guarantee a spot. If we cannot reorganize the waves to accommodate everyone while respecting safety quotas, we will be forced to select participants based on their registration date until the limit is reached.
We will do our best to monitor and filter registrations in real-time to avoid this situation.
But our best advice is : Register as early as possible once registration opens to secure your spot.
